AAFP Physicians Accreditation This live activity has been reviewed and is acceptable for up to 12 Prescribed credits by the American Academy of Family Physicians. AAFP Prescribed credit is accepted by the American Medical Association as equivalent to the AMA PRA category 1 credit toward the AMA Physicians Recognition Award. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

The American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) is the accrediting body for family medicine continuing medical education (CME) in the United States of America.

CFPC members who complete any live CME/CPD program accredited by the AAFP for Prescribed credit can claim the equivalent number of Mainpro-M1 credits.

Canadian Healthcare professionals in other specialties need to verify with their licensing board the reciprocal credit agreement with the AAFP.

American Academy of Physician Assistants AAPA accepts Category 1 CME approval from the AAFP.
American Academy of Nurse Practitioners AAFP Prescribed Credits are accepted by the AANP.
American Association of Nurse Practitioners AAFP Prescribed Credits are accepted by the nursing associations.

Receive a $50 discount if you are a past MCE Conferences attendee, or for two or more healthcare professionals attending together. Receive a $100 discount if you are a past conference attendee AND if you are registering for the conference with another healthcare professional.

Tuition Cancellation Policy

Tuition Cancellation Policy without Protection Cancellations made within 7 days of registration - full tuition amount will be refunded minus 10% processing fee. Cancellations made 8 days from registration and up to 31 days before the conference date - full tuition amount minus 10% processing fee will be credited towards a future MCE Conference. Cancellations made within 30 - 8 days before the conference date - 50% of tuition fee will be credited towards a future MCE Conference. Cancellations made within 7 days or less before the conference date – no refunds or credits will be issued.

MCE Conferences Tuition Cancellation Protection-$50 When purchasing tuition cancellation protection you are able to cancel up to 31 days before the conference date - full tuition refund. Cancellation made within 30 days of the conference date - full tuition amount will be applied towards a future MCE conference. Please note: travel insurance does not cover tuition fees.

Program Information

Primary Care Update - A Review and Update of Common Clinical Problems

This program will provide primary care clinicians with practical evidence-based recommendations for a multitude of conditions. The program includes a variety of topics including common respiratory infections, diabetes, irritable bowel syndrome, immunizations, urinary tract infections, acupuncture, and medical adherence. The lecture format will include case-based discussions that encourage audience participation. Each lecture will include a didactic presentation followed by a dedicated question and answer period. Successful completion of this interactive program should increase confidence in diagnostic skills; prescribing the most accurate and effective course of treatment and follow up care, for improved patient outcomes.

Irritable Bowel Syndrome: Diagnosis, Evaluation, and Treatment
Objectives: 1) Appraise possible etiologies for Irritable Bowel Syndrome 2) Select and utilize diagnostic criteria to identify IBS 3) Assess and screen for other conditions that can present with similar IBS symptoms 4) Formulate a diagnostic evaluation for patients with signs and symptoms of IBS 5) Use EBM to develop a treatment plan for Irritable Bowel Syndrome

Objectives: 1) Distinguish dementia from treatable conditions that have similar presentations 2) Construct a diagnostic plan for patients with cognitive dysfunction utilizing EBM and Expert Guidelines 3) Differentiate the common Dementia syndromes and distinguish the characteristics between them 4) Use EBM to design a treatment plan for dementia

Urinary Tract Infections: Update on Current Treatment Strategies

Evaluation and Treatment of Dyspepsia
Objectives: 1) Appraise symptoms and common etiologies for dyspepsia 2) Apply current medical evidence and expert guidelines to construct a diagnostic evaluation for dyspepsia 3) Determine appropriate treatment for dyspepsia based on current medical evidence and the likely etiology

Conference Room Rates Terms and Conditions - In order to provide a quality and interactive CME program, MCE Conferences will limit the amount of registrations per conference. Some conferences may have a lower registration limit due to the destination logistics and lodging availability.

MCE Conferences does not accept commercial support for our Continuing Medical Education programs. We rely solely on tuition fees and amenities we receive from the resort to cover the expenses of holding this conference. It is required that all participants and their families book within the meeting group allotment for MCE Conferences, in order to participate in this program. We very much appreciate your cooperation.

MCE Conferences contracts lodging with the resorts to ensure the lowest rates for our attendees. Lodging reservations are reserved for attendees registered for this conference. Reservations made without tuition registration will be automatically deleted after 7 days. If your company is mailing the tuition registration or a family member not attending the conference reserved lodging, please notify us via email at or call 1-888-533-9031.

Meal Plans are not available when booking MCE Conference’s negotiated reduced room rates. Continental breakfast will be served to participants registered for the conference during program dates.

Additional Adults Sharing A Room - Room Rate Includes 2 Adults. There is a $25 Per Person Per Night Fee for Additional Adults over the age of 18 Sharing A Room. Maximum of 4 Guests in Room.

Lodging Deposit - Two nights deposit must accompany your reservation. The balance of lodging payment, as well as any incidental charges, is due to the hotel upon check-out. The hotel accepts all major credit cards.

Lodging Cancellation -

Per our lodging agreement, these are the cancellation terms and conditions:

Cancellation 60 days or more before arrival - you will receive full deposit
Cancellation 59-31 days before arrival - a one night deposit is forfeited
Cancellation 30 days or less before arrival - no lodging refunds can be made
No-shows and early departures are considered a cancellation

All cancellations must be made via e-mail to by the dates stated above.
