Are the programs accredited and when will I receive my credits?
MCE programs have been reviewed and accredited by the American Academy of Family Physicians. AAFP Prescribed credit is accepted by the American Medical Association as equivalent to AMA PRA category 1 credit toward the AMA Physician’s Recognition Award. Upon completion of the course the conference coordinator will collect the evaluation forms. A certificate will be mailed to you 2 weeks after your return home.

Can I book the cruise or tour with another travel agent?
We prefer that both conference registration and cruise reservation be made through us. This helps us offset the speakers and administrative expenses involved in organizing a CME conference. If you are able to find a better cruise fare through another source, then just sign up for the conference.

CME On The Go! tour conferences are specifically designed for MCE Conferences and are not available for purchase elsewhere.

Are cruise or tour conferences tax deductible?
MCE- Meridian Conferences is not permitted to offer tax advice. Please consult with your tax advisor.
We do encourage you to look at the value of cruising and our all inclusive tours and resorts. Consider that, all your meals and entertainment are included! Just think about what those things cost " A La Carte" in any resort and you will see that you are already saving a huge amount.

Do cruise lines welcome families with kids?
This is the perfect vacation for the whole family. The children have programs and activities arranged for them throughout the day and night. You will never have to worry about what the kids will eat since there is a selection of restaurants onboard the ship and 24 hours room service. Parents can relax and enjoy time alone while children are having fun in the supervised kids club. There are also many activities onboard designed for the whole family.

Most of our tours and resorts are specifically designed or selected with family in mind.

What should I pack?
Cruise vacations are very casual and relaxed by day. Most evenings require relaxed cocktail attire and usually there are one or two formal nights where it is optional to wear a dinner jacket or a gown.                For tour or resort conferences it will vary depending on the destination. For more information please contact our CME coordinators at 888-533-9031.

What about tipping?

Some of our CME cruise, tour and resort conferences include gratuities.
On some cruise lines tipping is a matter of individual preference. A general rule of thumb is to plan for about $3.00 per person per day for your room steward and dinning room waiter, and about half of that for the assistant waiter. Some of our cruise fares include gratuities. Those that don't will automatically charge your stateroom gratuities of $10 per day per person.

Tours and resort conferences have gratuities included. On a tour gratuities are included for the tour guide. MCE group coordinator accompanying the conference tour will advise you on the appropriate amount for tipping the tour guide.

Is motion on a cruise discomfort a problem?
This is rare. Popular cruise itineraries boast some of the calmest waters. Also modern ships have stabilizers and advanced availability of accurate weather information. If all fails then the development of effective preventative medication has for the most part eliminated motion discomfort.

Is cruise dinning great?
You will find a varied selection of gourmet food every time you sit down. There is no limit on how much you can order. But this does not mean you need to come home out of shape. You can choose low-cal, spa, vegetarian or fitness menu selections that are just as good as the regular menu. Best of all it's all included!

Is it as good as it sounds?
Every crew member onboard the ship is dedicated to making your cruise a memorable vacation. It is hard to find any negatives except that a cruise ends far too soon. All you have to worry about is relaxing and enjoying your vacation.

MCE Conferences tours and resorts are all inclusive most of the times. You do not have to worry about a thing, we take care of arranging everything for you. We mean it when we say  "CME Does Not Get Better Than This! "
