Skin and Soft Tissue Infections: Evidence-based Management
1) The participant will be familiar with the impact of MRSA in common pediatric skin and soft tissue infections [SSTI] 2) The participant will be able to select appropriate antibiotic therapy for superficial skin infections 3) The participant will be familiar with the appropriate evaluation and treatment of purulent SSTI 4) The participant will be able to recommend appropriate management for the child with recurrent skin abscesses

The Pediatric Traveler: Its more than just Zika
Objectives: 1) The participant will be familiar with the approach to the pregnant mother and baby potentially exposed to Zika virus 2) The participant will be familiar with immunization recommended for pediatric travelers 3) The participant will be familiar with the need for malaria prophylaxis for certain travelers 4) The participant will be able to identify possible exotic infections in returning travelers

Canadian Healthcare professionals in other specialties need to verify with their licensing board the reciprocal credit agreement with the AAFP.

Lodging Cancellations – Terms and conditions as per MCE’s room allotment agreement with conference lodging venue:

  • Cancellation made 31 days or more prior to arrival: A full refund will be issued.
  • Cancellation 30 days or less prior to arrival: No refunds will be issued.
  • No-shows and early departures are considered a cancellation: No refunds will be issued.
