This online live stream CME will be broadcasting from one of our in-person CME destinations. This program will be acceptable for up to 12 Prescribed credits by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) and the American Academy of Family Physicians. This program is accredited as a live activity. Recordings of the event will be provided to all registered attendees at the conclusion of the course.

This online live stream is designed to provide primary care clinicians with up-to-date, evidence-based information on commonly encountered issues in Primary Care Update: Adult and Pediatric Infectious Diseases while suggesting pragmatic approaches to clinical management.

The online learning format will encourage audience participation through dynamic lectures, and case-based studies. Keynote speakers will present and critically assess recent advancements and industry updates in Primary Care, with the goal of enhancing the knowledge-base and core competence of attendees. Skin and Soft Tissue Infections: Evidence-Based Management
Objectives: 1) Become familiar with the impact of MRSA in common pediatric skin and soft tissue infections (SSTI) 2) Select appropriate antibiotic therapy for superficial skin infections 3) Become familiar with the appropriate evaluation and treatment of purulent SSTI 4) Recommend appropriate management for the child with recurrent skin abscesses

Additional Lodging Information – All rooms will be charged a daily resort fee in the amount of 12% of the pre-tax amount of the daily room rate.

Check-in/Check-out times: Check in-time begins at 4:00 PM. Check-out time is at 10:00 AM. The bell captain can arrange to hold luggage for guests attending the program in order to avoid late check-out.

Resort Charge – The resort fee covers items including, but not limited to, complimentary resort transportation; two bicycles per unit for up to four hours of usage daily; fitness center usage; one hour per day of tennis court time (based on availability); one hour per day usage on either a canoe, kayak or boogie board, self-parking, Wi-Fi in the Baytowne and Linkside Conference Center, and reservation processing services. The resort fee is not a government-imposed charge. All rates are subject to applicable state and local taxes and fees in effect at time of check-in (currently 11% for accommodations and 9% taxes and fees for all other services).

Lodging Deposit – A Deposit of 1 Night + tax is due at the time of booking. Balance is due to the resort upon arrival.

Lodging Cancellations – Terms and conditions as per MCE’s room allotment agreement with conference lodging venue:

  • Cancellation made 31 days or more prior to arrival: A full refund will be issued.
  • Cancellation 30 days or less prior to arrival: No refunds will be issued.
  • No-shows and early departures are considered a cancellation: No refunds will be issued.
