Optimizing Psychopharmacotherapy in Depression: Clinical Cases

Objectives: 1) Describe latest evidence and expert consensus guidance for the evaluation and risk assessment of individuals with CKD. 2) Discuss medications used to delay CKD progression and manage its complications, including mechanism, safety, tolerability, efficacy, price, and simplicity of use.  3) Review strategies to identify and manage cardiovascular risk in individuals with CKD. 4) Summarize key recommendations for primary care in the evaluation, prevention, and management of CKD

Managing Anxiety and Sleep Disorders: Drug and Non-Pharmacologic Considerations
Objectives: 1) Describe signs and symptoms of common sleep disorders and anxiety disorders with a focus on older adults. 2) Discuss common anxiety disorders, including the neurobiological basis of disease, clinical presentation, assessment, and approach to treatment. 3) Recognize evidence-based treatments for insomnia and common anxiety disorders, including lifestyle, behavioral, and pharmacologic interventions. 4) Identify key parameters that warrant referral to specialty care for individuals with insomnia and/or anxiety disorders.

Treatment of Rheumatologic Diseases
Objectives: 1) Discuss the new generation of biological therapies used to treat autoimmune diseases 2) Recognize the risks associated with biological therapies 3) Assess patient-specific factors to optimize the safety and efficacy of biological therapies

Curbside Rheumatology for the Primary Care Clinician
Objectives: 1) Apply case-based learning to identify, evaluate, and manage common rheumatologic conditions effectively within the primary care setting 2) Review and solidify some of the key clinical areas previously covered

American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ for recertification and continuing education credits. One AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ is equivalent to one contact hour for registered nurses or one advanced practice CNE for nurse practitioners.

Nurse Practitioners

Additional Lodging Information –

  • Taxes: The Group Room Rates are subject to applicable sales and resort taxes, currently 12½%. There will be no mandatory resort or other fee levied on the sleeping rooms in addition to the Group Room Rate plus applicable taxes (unless required by law).
  • Additional Adult Charge: Any additional persons 18 years and older are $35 extra per person per night.

Hotel Parking – Standard overnight self-parking is available to registered Guests for a fee that will be applied to their hotel folio upon check-out.

  • Currently Self-parking for overnight guests at Walt Disney World Resorts is complimentary (previously $25 per night). with Valet parking rates available for $33 per night. All parking fees are subject to change based on the Hotel’s Discretion.
  • Complimentary Self-parking will be provided during the hours of the meeting for all local and off-site MCE Attendees.

Lodging Deposit – A Deposit of 1 Night + Tax is due at the time of booking. Balance is due at the resort upon arrival.

Lodging Cancellations – Terms and conditions as per MCE’s room agreement with the conference lodging venue:

  • Should an attendee cancel a reservation, a refund of the deposit and/or cancellation fees will be in accordance with the hotel’s general policy at that time (currently, a refund is given if an individual’s reservation is
    canceled at least five days before arrival).
  • No-shows and early departures are considered cancellations: No refunds will be issued.

Register & Book Your Lodging Early! The MCE reduced room rates will be available to registered attendees up until  September 1, 2026 (based on availability). Our allotment for reduced room rates may sell out before this date. We urge you to secure your lodging reservation as early as possible. Reduced rates will also be offered for 3 nights pre- and post-program dates (based on availability).
