Screening for Cervical Cancer
Objectives: 1) Interpret the rationale and evidence supporting primary HPV testing as a screening method for cervical dysplasia and cervical cancer 2) Compare the effectiveness of primary HPV testing with traditional Pap smear screening methods in detecting cervical abnormalities 3) Develop a framework for implementing primary HPV testing in clinical practice, including patient education and follow-up strategies
Anemia
Objectives: 1) Develop a diagnostic strategy to ascertain the etiology of anemia 2) Utilize the guidelines for diagnosing anemia in children and adults in terms of available testing 3) Develop a clinical approach to treating various anemias to include iron deficiency and “anemia of chronic disease”, due to infections, inflammatory diseases, chronic kidney disease (CKD), malignancies, cytokines, interferons, tumor necrosis factor (TNF), et cetera 4) Describe the role of consultants in the evaluation and management of anemia
Routine Adult Care
Objectives: 1) Determine which screening tests are indicated for particular patients, according to USPSTF guidelines 2) Order appropriate immunizations for the adult patient

Dress Guide: Since Grand Hotel is a resort, we want you to feel at ease and dress comfortably. During the day casual resort clothing is appropriate. Prior to6:30pmplease no midriff baring tops, sweatpants or cut-off shorts for ladies. For gentleman no sleeveless shirts, sweatpants, or cut-off shorts. Since every evening at Grand Hotel is a special occasion after6:30pm dresses, skirts, blouses, dress sweaters and dress slacks for ladies are preferred, while gentleman are required to wear a suit coat, necktie and dress pants, no denim or shorts. This applies for all areas inside the hotel with the exception of the Cupola Bar. Children 12 years and older are expected to be in dress similar to the adults.

Lodging Cancellations – Terms and conditions as per MCE’s room allotment agreement with conference lodging venue:
- Cancellation made 31 days or more prior to arrival: A full refund will be issued.
- Cancellation 30 days or less prior to arrival: No refunds will be issued.
- No-shows and early departures are considered a cancellation: No refunds will be issued.

Additional Travel Information
Mackinac Island, located in Lake Huron, between the lower and upper peninsulas of Michigan, is completely car-free (with the exception of a few emergency vehicles).
Interstate I-75 brings you to the ferry docks of both Mackinaw City (Lower Peninsula) and St. Ignace (Upper Peninsula). Access to the island can be made from both of these cities. The exits are clearly marked for several miles.
All season long, Mackinac Island is serviced from both of these cities by two ferry companies: Shepler’s Ferry and Star Line Ferry. Each company offers a unique fleet of ferry experiences.
Pellston Airport is serviced by Sky West (Delta) and is approximately fifteen miles from the island. Mackinaw Shuttle Services is located in the main terminal of the airport to provide ground transportation to the ferries headed towards the island.
Chippewa County Airport is about 30 minutes from the ferry docks in St. Ignace. This airport offers the convenience of a smaller airport with state of the art facilities and security.
Additionally, Great Lakes Air is a full service, affordable passenger and freight charter service that offers a 7 minute flight from St. Ignace to Mackinac Island. Fresh Air Aviation also services the Island with private aircraft charters.
