Hair Disorders

Skin Cancer Exams, Treatments, and Prevention in this New Era
Objectives: 1) Perform a screening skin examination to detect precancerous and cancerous skin lesions 2) Make recommendations to reduce the likelihood of additional precancerous and cancerous skin lesions 3) Choose at least two appropriate treatments for precancerous skin lesions 4) Understand the highlights of teledermatology    

When and How to Cut, Freeze, Burn and Repair
Objectives: 1) Identify indications for skin biopsies and excisions 2) Identify appropriate surgical techniques for skin biopsies and basic repairs 3) Indicate lesions appropriate for cryosurgical and electrosurgical treatment    

Office Orthopedics and Spots Medicine

Concussion Update
Objectives: 1) Recall the etiology, pathophysiology, and signs & symptoms of concussion 2) Utilize concussion assessment tools to assess and manage concussion 3) Determine medical clearance and return to learn and play recommendations 4) Consider when and how to interpret neuropsychological testing 5) Define second impact syndrome and its complications and significance

Sports Medicine Exam Tips and Tricks
Objectives: 1) Determine when urgent referral is needed for a hand injury based on the history and physical exam 2) Select the most accurate examination for certain musculoskeletal complaints 3) Perform appropriate testing to evaluate foot and ankle injuries that may require further testing or referral

Exercise Rx: What and For Whom?
Objectives: 1) Distinguish health benefits that can be attained from regular physical activity 2) Prepare effective exercise prescriptions using the FITT-PRO 3) Address barriers to implementation that may exist for some patients

Knee Pain Evaluation and Management
Objectives: 1) Identify key history elements to diagnose etiology of knee pain 2) Select the most accurate examination tests for evaluation of knee pain 3) Counsel patients on the most effective and evidence-based treatment for knee pain

Shoulder Pain Evaluation and Management

Lodging Cancellations – Terms and conditions as per MCE’s room allotment agreement with conference lodging venue:

  • Cancellation made 31 days or more prior to arrival: A full refund will be issued.
  • Cancellation 30 days or less prior to arrival: No refunds will be issued.
  • No-shows and early departures are considered a cancellation: No refunds will be issued.
